2011 Cannonball 725 Stone Series Pro Bb Trumpet, Raw Brass, NEAR MINT CONDITION
This listing is for an original raw brass (was new raw brass, never been lacquered and stripped) nickel silver 2011 Cannonball Stone Series Model 725 professional Bb trumpet in NEAR MINT CONDITION and its lightweight hard-shell case (as shown in the last two photos). This raw brass trumpet, which from day-one never had a thick layer of deadening lacquer, simply looks and sounds AWESOME! With its excellent slotting and intonation, it plays on pitch almost effortlessly. There are only a few tiny insignificant dings that are hardly noticeable, but be sure to zoom in and examine all of the photos before purchasing. What you see is what you get!
Note: A raw brass finish will darken with beautiful patina, which forms an ultra-thin protective layer. Not having lacquer does not shorten the life of a brass instrument as long as the instrument is kept clean and is stored in its case in a good environment (not in a damp basement or shed for example). The raw brass surfaces will develop a protective patina coating. This is true of both the inner and outer raw brass surfaces.
Although the raw brass will naturally darken in color with good patina to protect the brass from bad corrosion (like red rot), simply wiping off the trumpet when finished will help keep it looking good. Remember that the inside surfaces of all brass instruments are raw brass, so all brass instruments should be kept clean (inside and out) and stored in their cases in good environments. The fit and finish of this trumpet is very impressive!
This trumpet has always been raw brass and nickel silver from when it was brand new in 2011. All I did to it was testing, cleaning, and shining it up with Miracle Cloth brand polishing cloths. It was professionally customized with thumb and pinky rings, which also adds to the total awesomeness of this trumpet! It plays like a dream with the perfect amount of back-pressure due to its medium-large (ML) bore size.

Our Big Bell® and unique bell flare contribute to a vibrant sound and well-balanced resistance. We build a little bit of resistance into our leadpipe to compensate for the open flare of our bell creating a pleasing feel. The heavy wall receiver delivers a focused tone.
Cannonball trumpets feature monel piston valves. Monel is a malleable metal alloy that ensures smooth and long lasting action. On a microscopic level, the cylindrical surface of the monel piston is continuously optimized with every stroke to insure a proper, tight fit and alignment with its casing. Monel resisis pitting and corrosion so you won't have to have your valves replated.
The metal also retains the valve oil longer than other leading materials. We searched for the perfect bore size to facilitate a great air column. Even though the bore is technically Medium-Large, there are variations in the tube diameter across the instrument which create a comfortable degree of resistance as well as aligning pitch for great slotting.
