Antique Lyon & Healy Silver Plated Brass American Professional Chicago Trumpet
This antique Lyon & Healy silver-plated brass American professional Chicago trumpet is a fantastic addition to any musician's collection. It comes with a mouthpiece, a Cleary Freetone mute, and an original case to ensure that you have everything you need to begin playing. The spring in the first valve is out and appears to be stretched. The other valves stick some but aren't terrible. I was able to play taps with it. I believe with a little tlc and a replacement spring that this would be in a more playable condition.
The valves appear to be made of brass. The bell and body materials are both silver-plated, with a bell diameter of 4? This trumpet is finished with an antique look as the silver plating is in rough shape and is perfect for those who love vintage instruments. It appears that repairs were done or attempted throughout the years, with some of the repairs not holding up.
Their are small dings here and there, but nothing major. The mute only has one of the cork placements, but overall, it looks nice.The case seems solid with a holding latch. It has an operational leather strap to hold the trumpet secure along with a holding place for the mute. It was manufactured in the United States.
